Stunning Serbia

Day 1 London to Belgrade Excellent service on the Elizabeth line 1hr Woolwich to Heathrow Only had hand luggage but quick security and very friendly staff Had a nice all day veggie breakfast at Prince of Wales good value. Flight was delayed by 1.5hrs Service on board was efficient got a sandwich and water for free. Any other purchases needed to be paid for in euros no card! I paid £11 for emergency exit seat worth the money loads of leg room. Flight was only 1/4 full. Made up time and landed in Belgrade only an hour late. Nice airport, passport control slick and friendly. Pre booked transfer waiting for me; clean vehicle again slick process. Maison Royale Hotel very central upgraded to deluxe balcony room very impressed although short on toiletries amenities. Met my friend who lives in Serbia for dinner. We went to Thyme lovely meal chicken biryani with a Serbian twist, great wine and fantastic service. Good value for money too. All in all, a fabulous day and it helped being 77F.

Day 2 - Belgrade Breakfast is taken at the restaurant next door to the hotel from 8-11.30 very good and plenty of choices. Pretty much walked the city 18k steps later with my dodgy leg. So many highlights Kalemgdar Military museum Belgrade fortress Church of St Petka National theatre National parliament St Marks church Walking around and taking the city in Weather was also amazing. Another brilliant day in surprising Serbia

Day 3 Private Tour Northern Serbia Picked up at 09.30 by my wonderful guide Jovan so knowledgeable would highly recommend. We visited. Fruska Gora Krusedol monastery Sremski Karlovic Venus wine shop & Tasting Petrovardin Fortress Novi Sad - where I also had lunch at the Gasto Café, excellent food and wine. I would recommend this tour 100%
