In September 2008 I spent 10 days at the beautiful Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa for the American Needlepoint Guild ~ 2008 Annual Seminar.
The moment I pulled up to the property I was in awe of the beauty, with the fountains, palm trees and bouganvilleas. Set on 45 acres and surronded by a Golf Course everywhere we looked was very pretty.
The guest rooms facing the mountains were nice but I recommend requesting a golf/pool view room. They are split level and gives the feeling of more space and if you are sharing a room it gives more individual space and privacy. I was by the pool and there wasn’t a lot of noise which I was initially concerned about.
The patios were much bigger and I was able to sit out in the morning and evening and enjoy the scenery and weather.
I found this would be a great resort for families, singles and romantic getaways. I had use of 7 swimming pools, and there was also a childs pool with slide and 4 restaurants on site. Golfing was available as was a Spa and Health club, and a specially operated Hyatt Kids Camp. There truly is something for everyone.
The Hyatt Grand Champions Resort is a very lovely property and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
The few days of over 110 degrees was a little weltering but with the green grasses, palm trees, bougainvilleas and mountains in the background it was very lovely (even after a wind storm).
The staff was all very welcoming and helpful. They had a summer internship program with a large number of employees from France working at the restaurants and guest services and it was fun talking with them.
Happy Travels!
