BodyHoliday St Lucia - Fiona's blog

I wanted to go on holiday, but didn't want to go on my own. So Sarah's BodyHoliday hosted trip to St Lucia was perfect. I just needed to turn up at the airport with my passport and suitcase and everything else was done for me. The trip is equally ideal for those who might want to laze about all day, or those who might decide that the holiday is going to be the launchpad to be really active. There were so many activities to do, and I really loved the fact that there’s no pressure to join in - you can do as many or as few as you like. Last year I tried the Tai Chi, took a Hobie Cat trip and tried some of water sports. I also joined Sarah’s boat trip to snorkel around the Pitons – a real trip highlight for me. I loved the trip so much that I immediately booked to go again this year!

I might try some of the meditation classes and may even try the water ski classes! Whilst the 8am boot camp is definitely NOT for me….they all looked like they were having an amazing time. I caught up with Sarah and a couple of others from our group each afternoon and we headed up to the spa together to finish our day with a treatment – they were all just amazing. We then headed to the beach bar to watch the sunset with a glass of fizz. Dining was incredible and, for the solo traveller, I love the fact you can be as sociable as you want. I had the choice of joining Sarah or any of the others from our group as well as the hotel hosted group table where you can dine with different people every night. And the food is delicious. For a person on their own, or even someone who just fancies a break on their own, BodyHoliday with Sarah’s hosted trip is perfect. You can mingle or not, it's your holiday done your way.
